Oh Festivus
February 14, 2007 at 11:57 am | In Soci3390 | 1 CommentI don’t really like seinfeld, but my brother loves it so I do get forced into watching it. Anyways I think festivus is a great idea. Just another holiday to spread the joy….it could be relieving. While looking for videos that made fun of seinfeld (didn’t find any) I found this one. I never bothered to watch what uhh..’kramer,’ I don’t know his real name, said to the black audience members during his stand-up routine, but this is just appalling. It really doesn’t seem like he would regret anything he’s saying. What really surprised me is I could hear some people laughing. This isn’t the actual video, its just audio and writing that you can’t really see.

I think something like this is rather humorous. NOT the content but the fact that in today’s modern world even our worst moments will come back to haunt us due to technology being able to bring it up to be seen again and again. It’s only in the last 50-60 years that something such as this has become a problem of such magnitude.
Has anybody sent an email that later you realize wasn’t your most shining moment and then have it http://brianfanbrought up over and over again or repeated because it’s readily available on the internet.
It seems celebrities are especially vulnerable to this aspect of technology. They are always in the media so they have to always be on their best behavior and look their best.
Don’t you think Britney Spears wishes her naked groin showing wasn’t able to be looked at on the internet at anyone’s disposal? Probably much like Michael Richards wishes his bright moment wasn’t viewable over and over again. I’m going to post on my blog an email I received. It shows Richard’s comments he made in Court.
